I took one of my ex-students, a Desert Storm vet, with me and we had a great time, in fact, we both filled our javelina tags.  A big hog pinned me down one night until after dark - behind the blind so no shot opportunities.  We saw bobcats, big bucks, and tons of rabbits, which made for some great shooting action.  Two guys in camp killed two HUGE rattlesnakes one evening.  Like I said, great time and well worth our 1200 mile drive from Kentucky!

I think there were 12 javelinas total in our group, 3 hogs, a jackrabbit, and a coyote. We all had a great time, and I enjoyed pickin a few songs for the boys in camp.

We saw plenty of big bucks, too.

I hope to do it again next year!

Hey, Chad, so that was you I heard singing over at the campfire one night. Sorry I didn't make it over for the show but I heard some clown yodeling earlier and figured it was you, just about burst my ears, so I decided to stay in my tent!  Found out later that the Barry was doing the yodeling, not you  . . . no peace that night in the tent, Barry's yodeling had the coyotes stirred up most of the night :>)!

i was in camp the last week.  we didn't fare as well as the gang the week before, but we had a blast none the less. good friends, good food and didn't have to work for a week.  what else can i say. i think we had 3 javi's, 1 hog, couple rabbits and even a few carp.  despite not bringing the bacon home i'll be back. this hog hunt'n is fun stuff.

Yep, I was there the last week.  Had a blast!  Learned lot's of new x-rated jokes to tell to my girlfriend from Gene and Barry!  Also figured out how I can get her to move to Iowa!  We had a great time, and I hope I can make it a yearly event.  Rob, we've got more to come man!
