Montec SGH.

I hit a big fox squirrel at 15 yds square in the chest with one and then had to finish it off with a broadhead.  I think I'm just gonna stick to broadheads on the little Bstrds from now on.  I don't like crippling and then finishing.  Not to mention I have to resharpen a perfectly good broadhead and I broke my cedar arrow.  I'm shooting a 60 lb GN Fireball.  Was it the head or are they just that tough.

Squirrels are tough critters.  The only thing I know about the Montec SGH is that it is too expensive if you ask me.  I've had to finish off several before using a .357 casing with a bleeder glued in, but I've also finished off some with one shot.  Sorry, I don't have much info, but squirrels are pretty tough and again, I think those heads are way overpriced.

Not had a chance to try them on game yet but I'm trying a plain ole fieldpoint with an "adder" point that I've sharpened behind it.

I've only shot one squirrel so far with a fieldpoint and "stock" adder point behind it.  I was very pleased.  But I may have just been lucky.

The adder points are less than a $1 a piece and do a good job of not letting the arrow stick into tree trunks/branches.  They WILL make the arrow glance off into oblivion if you hit the "edge" of a tree just right.   Suppose we can't have everything.

They're much more durable than judo points.  Those were getting too expensive for me.

That is tough! You imagine being that small and having a huge spear like object with a blunt metal tip smack you in the chest...man, my heart would stop right then and there!
My dog hates them! But my neighbors love them. Sometimes for fun I have tied fishing line to a peanut in the shell, cast it out on the deck, close the sliding glass door and wait. When they come in and pick it up they start running with it...hank that string and watch 'em flip! I'd much rather shot them. But if I can't I will torment them to death! lol
