I know, Doc. Though we had a fantastic turnout, still too many folks stayed home because they figured their "one vote" wouldn't change things. That being said let me , please say one more thing: Being a retired military man I have always operated under one abiding belief - no matter how I feel, or who I vote for, once the dust settles and the voting is over, whoever was elected is then/now my personal "Commander In Chief" as long as they are in office. So it's back to hunting, and bow/knife building, etc.
with full patriotism intact - but no further political reference from me in the general forums.
If this wind and rain will stop, I'll be out trying to fix up our stand cites this afternoon - I might even stay for the evening sit, if i don't get too tired
.
BTW - I was notified yesterday, by tg admin, that two of my old Deer Hunting stories had/have been moved to a new forum, "Memorable Hunts", and with links to them. I went to that forum and re-read them (in all honestly, because I wasn't sure i recalled what they were talking about - :p ). I not only got all excited again but also got re-inspired by all of the fine comments and wishes, in replys from our friends. I am very pleased to say I have three stories there, among all the other fine ones - thanks, Tradgang. Check them out, if you find your spirits are flagging a little
