Shrew bow string silencers

I have a new 56" Super Shrew Deluxe. I have the Wooly whispers.....

Where do you put your..I have generally put them at the 1/4 position.

Ron prefers the rubber ones and if put on properly, they are adjustable to find the "sweet spot".  I used Hush puppies and have them at the third points.

I used whoolie wisps on mine at the 1/4 position,rubber cat whiskers work good also.

Ron recomends the rubber cat whisker type. Randy Gustafson discovered something recently regarding silencer placement; he contends that since a sound wave is an S type wave, with high and low spots, your best placement may not be equal distance from each end. you want to land one on a high spot, one on a low spot.

I will be trying that, but in the past, I just divide my string into 3rds.
