***** question??? when sharpening the WW using using the method show i noticed that when using the 6" file the cut is across 2 blades.  this causes the cut to be in towards the ferrule on 1 blade and away from it on the other side of the blade.  does this have any effect on sharpness?

Another question is how do you guys touch up your heads in the field?  I know some use mini croc sticks but what is the proper way to use those with a broadhead?   Just lightly run them across the stick?

Sharpening challenged.

Like everyone else, I use a good mill bastard file, then stones, then a leather strop.  I just got one of the Spider crock sticks.  It has the black and white sticks predrilled at the proper angle.  A couple passes over these and the head is as sharp as a razor.  The crock sticks makes it quick to touch up a knife and BH when skinning an animal.

if you have leather boots; careful- but find a flat spot in them. Or your belt; or a smooth barked tree.
