Mr. Morrison
« on: November 28, 2008, 10:45:00 PM »
I just picked up a Morrison Dakota about a week ago and I'm going to assume that Mr. Morrison is a genius. Has anyone else noticed this?
The bow is a 58" hybrid with action boo cores and it seems to have a layer of carbon in with the boo. It seems to have a curly coa riser, although it is a little darker than the ones I've seen pictures of. But it is a performer, I'm shooting 31 inch 340 acc's with 5 grain weight tubes and 145 grain tips off it and it carries these well. Full length 340s are tweaking off it! The grip and the rest show a great knowledge of bowyering. I shot a couple of 8 inch or so groups at 45 yards the first time on the outdoor range. Oh yes the punch line is it's a 56# pound bow!
I know this kind of a product review but I just wanted to compliment Mr. Morrison.

Bob Morrison tries to keep his identity as a genius a secret. Bob is kind of like Clark Kent who doesn't want anyone to know he is Superman. Now you have let the cat out of the bag!

I have a 58" Dakota also. I don't know if he is a genius, but he makes a great bow and is good to deal with. Would love to see a picture of the Koa.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

I'll see if I can get the picture thing figured out.
