I have shot one of his longbows for many years.  Absolutely top of the line, and bullet proof.

met dick in 77or 78, when he had a half-interest in a little archery shop in lolo, montana.

his partner was a scumbag named scott ross,  specialzed in adultery.  almost had to kick his ass.

dick probably did too.  real human filth.

anyway.....i've got a mystical, 3rd hand, but i know both previous owners.

osage riser, black locust lams.  68#@28".  smooth, sweet.

the coolest thing about the robertsons (dick and yote), is that they are HUNTERS who build bows, rather than bowyers who hunt.

dick was already legendary then, as a killer of big bulls..  late 70s.

I recently bought a Tribal Styk and can say this bow will shoot with the best of em. And sure is a looker with the ebony and cocobolo riser and myrtle limbs. Also very light but stable and easy to tune.

Westbrook...  I may have shot that bow today at Dick's place.  If not, he's got one in stock that is it's twin brother.

I've known Dick for a while, but until today, I'd not shot one of his recurves.  I liked it a lot.  good cast, and his risers have much cleaner lines than my Schafer.

Now if I could get Dave's limbs on Dick's riser, the world would have the perfect bow.

X2

And as has been said, Dick is a great guy who has earned his solid reputation by doing things right for 34 plus years.

I have three Stykbows, all sweet shooters. And all so dang cool looking they even make me look good.

Take care,
LP

Dan, You did. Its not my bow, I just pulled the pic off their site cuz I love it. If I had the $$ that is what I would order, probably with the longbow limbs and most definately move the shelf to the other side.

That bow is as pretty as I've seen. ya know it shoots, look who built it!
