Bandito set up

Howdy Folks!

I just dusted off my old 1960 somthing Damon Howatt Bandito,  50# at 28" AMO 58" and plan on getting back into archery.

I shot it alot about 20 years ago but the rug rest has dried up and curled.

I'm trying to get it set up again but since Martin doesn't have any info on it it's hard for me to figure out a new set up.

It looks just like a X-200 that's 60", but it's 58" like the Mamba.  The X-200 comes stock with a Dura Flip and the Momba comes with a rug.

I like the idea of using a seal skin rug rest and plate and shooting all wood and feather arrows.

Is there supposed to be a space between the backing and rest?

Does anyone have the same basic setup and could recommend me an arrow and field tip weight?

I'd like to get this bow refinished an looking cherry again too,  if anyone has any recommendations on that.

Thanks,

Boom Stick

We have lots of good arrow smiths here. Pick one and call him up. tell him what you have. He will work up some arrows to fit your bos and get you set up with a rest and plate.
Hint #2 Adhesive backed velcro
Joe Skipp mad a great set for me
good shooting

Thanks Prarrie Dog.

After reading some more on the forum, velcro does seem to be pretty popular.
