Limb design?
« on: December 03, 2008, 01:18:00 PM »
My question is as follows.

Some bowyers have used different materials and or slightly different designs to obtain similar arrow speeds with a longbow limb design as compared to that of a recurve limb.  Assuming arrow speed is identical what if any advantage or disadvantage does each limb design have?

Thanks
Derek

None...The arrow has no clue what kind of bow it came out of. There's going to be some differences in the total package as in typically more mass weight in the riser for recurves or recurves not stacking as soon in the draw at shorter lengths, more noise in the recurve, ect....O.L.
