treestand bracket????
« on: December 03, 2008, 02:42:00 PM »
hey everybody, i was looking for info regarding those homemade hockey puck brackets for hangin treestands. i did a search here and cant find anything.
i think shaun leonard posted a build-a-long a while back but im just spinnin my wheels lookin for it.

here is my dilema, my climber weighs to much and i dont like luggin it up the mtns. any more. a ladder stand would br nice, but i have no doubt that 2 days after i hang it somebody will steel it on me. because i have no private land to hunt. and on NY state land, i cant use screw in steps. so the bracket coupled with the lw stand stiks could be the deal..

HELP.....

I sat one of Shawn's stands with those brackets. Im sure you would have no problem making them. The stands were the chippewa wedge locs.
Just give Shawn a shout, Im sure he will help ya out.
Another alternative I have been looking at are the timber tall climbing treestands. They weigh about 11 pounds. So far they are the lightest I have found.

Sure thing bud, will do. I just need to make sure stick and string bunnies are ok with the landowners...should be fine.
