cartel tab vs cavalier : thinner cordovan ?
« on: December 03, 2008, 03:28:00 PM »
Hi there

I have an older cartel tab and a new cavalier tab.
The cartell has a thinner piece of cordovan ( wich I like better )
Does anyone know if the cartel tabs are still made with the thinner cordovan ?
Thanks
Jacob

Cordovan thickness seems to always vary from tab to tab, which I believe is due to the fact...its getting harder and harder to obtain enough Cordovan and manufacturs are forced to take what they can get.

Rod, this just seems like they are made 2 different ways on purpose.
on the cartell tab, the cordovan and leather is only half the thickness as on the cavalier. But on the cartell there is also a rubber piece wich makes it end up the same overall thickness.
Tha cartel tab is the nicest to shoot but it seems like that they are not made with the thin layers anymore
