Ref. book for knapped heads?
« on: December 06, 2008, 05:44:00 AM »
I'd like to have some pics of known Native American heads to pattern my flint knapping after.

I have a copy of Overstreet ID and Price Guide to Indian Arrowheads.
The 8th Edition has over 1300 pages and pics of 1000's of actual heads from all over.

I looked but can't find it now.

A few weeks ago while looking at arrowpoint stuff on google I came across a web page that had every known arrowhead listed alphabetically and its characteristics written under it. They had a picture for all of them that they could, but it was many many heads and there just weren't pictures for all of them.

This is kind of like it but not the site. good luck.
