Yea, that's me Mr. Shy!
We go to Sask. every May on a bear hunt. Last year I decided to put my compound away and I bought a Hoyt Game Master. After a lot of practice I felt confident enough to fling one at a bruin. First night out it poured rain so I didn't see a thing. Second night out my "Buds" left me so I stayed in camp and practiced more!
Third night I sat in a stand called "Raven". This is due to the inordinate number of the nasty things that buzz you and squawk constantly. About 6pm here came a nice black boar. I thought what the heck, and I shot...over his back. An hour later he comes back with 2 friends. I shoot at him again and shoot low. He's unimpressed. He and a friend climb my tree and sniff me out. Then I take a shot at the friend and miss so bad I swear I heard them laugh! Now I'm pissed and bear #3 is laughing at me so hard he has to stand up against a tree to keep from falling over. Thats it! I just shot and holy cow I double lung him, game over. When my guide came in to pick me up and saw all the Lumenoks stuck in the ground he said it looked like the landing lights on a runway!
