There are several Trad Archery clubs in NC.  If you're moving to the Raleigh/Durham area, "Sissipaw Archers" has monthly shoots for you:  http://home.earthlink.net/~kevin_lawler/sisshoot.htm

If you're moving to the Charlotte/Hickory area, "Carolina Tradional Archers" has monthly shoots nearby:

There's also one out west near Asheville, but I don't know the name of the group.

North of Elisabeth City on RT 17 White Oaks Archery. I think they shoot the last weekend of the month.

Chech out these 2 sites:

 http://www.ncbowhunter.com/

There is a shoot almost every weekend somewhere. All the way up until September.

Big one Memorial Day weekend, close to Hickory.

What month will you be here and what part of the state?
It's a long drive from Murphy to Manteo...
