Anybody shoot a Horne Ridgrunner recurve??
« on: March 07, 2007, 04:21:00 PM »
Would like anyone's thoughts about this bow. Likes and dislikes are welcome. I hunted with Mark a few weeks back, and for the life of me I don't know why I didn't shoot one of his recurves!!  :knothead:  Guess I was so caught up in the hunt and the company that the thought never really crossed my mind. Although I did shoot his BrushBow...and now I have one on order  :banghead:  Thanks to anyone who can tell me about how this bow draws, shoots etc. etc.

I have owned one. One of the fastest bows I have ever shot. I sold it because I prefered a little different style grip/riser but the bow shot great and the craftsmanship is second to none. It is also very quiet. A great bow and great folks and I will probably own another one in the future.

I was just at Mark's shop last week and shot everything he would let me. I was there looking for a longbow, but got to shoot one of his Ridgerunner recurves. I think it was only 48#, but was smoking fast, and had a silky smooth draw. I was very impressed. I almost ordered one, but decided to go with a Traditionalist instead. Only because I already have 3 recurves, and no longbows

Very fast, impeccable workmanship, smooth draw, and great grip.  I have two Ridgerunners and a Brushbow and they are as impressive as any high end bow that I have owned.

Ahhh that's what I thought. Ok then I guess I am gonna have to order one then. Do you guys mind if I blame it on you for me ordering one when I tell my wife??  :help:

Ron, ain't it the truth man! This trad addiction of mine is like a virus...it just keeps spreading and getting worse! I think part of it stems from the constant search for "THE" ultimate bow for our own taste. The problem is, that unless you own them ALL at one point or another, you never know if you have the ultimate bow!!LOL

Man this bites!  :banghead:

Thanks to everyone that responded and for being my 'enablers'...hehehe

Go ahead and blame it on me. I don't mind at all. As long as you tell my wife it was your fault, the next time I order a bow.  :biglaugh:
