What is the difference in the hunter and hunter II? Does one shoot better (smoother, more forgiving) than the other? Trying to find one, but not sure which to get.

Hunter 2 has a more deflexed riser and is said to be more forgiving. Hunter 1 is supposed to be a couple ft/sec faster, but a little more unforgiving. I shoot a H2 and like it alot. Never shot the hunter.

Never shot a Hunter 1 either but have an H2. The riser is rock solid.....it's hard to shoot it poorly

they are both very nice recurves. i have owned both and realy didn't notice that much difference between them. the hunter II might be better for someone with a longdraw length. All the chek-mate bows are excellent.

I've owned three H2's and one H1. I like the H2 much better.
