Two bows, how do you choose?

How many of you guys have a favorite hunting bow and shoot a different bow all summer long? I hunt with a Liberty Chief long bow, but I shoot my Timber Hawk Talon Premier recurve at 3d shoots and in the back yard all summer. I love the way my recurve shoots but compared to my long bow it is louder and heavier.  I feel guilty not using it for hunting, seeing how much time I spend shooting it all summer. For me I feel my long bow is a better hunting tool and my recurve is a very pretty, great shooting yard bow. Help me deal with my guilt guys , how many of you do the same thing.

Don't let guilt enter your mind. Shoot whichever bow strikes your fancy as you get ready to walk out of the house. You can probably do some things to make the recurve more quiet for hunting, so my thought is why choose? - hunt 'em both. I have one primary bow that I use for both 3d and hunting, but I do sometimes take out of one my secondary bows just for grins. Just do what seems fun at the time.

I have eleven bows on the wall.  I practice with and shoot most of them.  When it comes to hunting season though, I usually end up hunting with the first custom bow I ever bought- a Horne Ridge Runner Recurve named Trusty.  When my shooting skills go away (as they do from time to time) I can pick up Trusty and usually shoot right where I look. I plain just have confidence when I take that bow to the woods.

Similar situation..... I shoot an Assenheimer recurve during the winter in an indoor league and at 3D courses during the early spring.  During the summer and fall (3D, stump shooting, backyard), and and for hunting, I shoot my Leon Stewart longbow. Both are super shooters, quiet and forgiving. I really don't have problems switching.  Guess that I like variety.

Your bows have no feelings so there is no need to feel guilty! They could care less. Take whichever one you want out and have a great time!
