New Maddog for Christmas...
« on: December 22, 2008, 11:43:00 AM »
I recently bought this from Mike at Maddog Bows for my wife's Christmas present. I've had it for awhile now thx to Mike rushing it in time for Christmas but I've been out of town and haven't had a chance to play with it yet.

This is his Prowler II. Bocote riser with Walnut limbs.

I've been shooting it for 2 days now and I really like it. It has to be one of the best bow deals out there. No hand shock, it's quite and pulls nicely.
I'd have no reservations recommending Maddog to anyone.

I put some bow hush and hush puppies on it just for looks really cause my wife doesn't hunt.

I made her up a dozen arrows for it also.

That's a beauty. We all ought to be doing the same thing for our wives and kids who don't have high quality bows yet. I have ordered a Pup Longbow from Mike Mecredy for the kids of a family who are friends of ours. It is their Christmas present, but I don't think Mike is going to be able to get the bow and arrows finished until sometime in January. I haven't seen a kid (of any age) who minded getting a nice present a little late! And those little bows are very high quality.

Placed an order over the weekend with Mike for a Pup longbow for my 6 year old son ,Bocote riser with zebra wood under clear glass on the limbs, I dont know who's more excited me or my son! Every bow i have seen of Mikes has been top notch. And if there is a better bow for the money I havent seen it! Gary

Looks like I'm not the only wife with a Maddog Christmas.  Congrats on a beauty.  She will love it.

Beautiful workmanship.  I just ordered one of his pup recurves for my 5 year old boy with ebony riser.  My wife just looks at me, grins and says "You just can't wait, can you?"... Here's to you and your family Mike, Merry Christmas!! - Joshua

Thx folks and thank you again Mike, I'm very pleased with it and I know my wife will be too.

Heck I'm thinking about getting his recurve for myself now in a low weight(35#-40#)for a fun stump shooting and small game bow.
