Early Christmas GIft
« on: December 23, 2008, 11:12:00 AM »
I am really not the type to show stuff off, But this is just too cool not to share.
My Mother teaches Basket Weaving, and surprised me and my wife with these at her house this last Sunday. Her first try was mine,(the darker of the two)followed by the gift for my Wife. She left the finish work ("Doodles")for us to complete.

We thought of Fur around the tops to quiet the arrows, but we are not sure what to use. Any Suggestions??

Nicely done! Sheep shearing works well for quieting.

Beautiful work. I think black bear fur would look good on the lighter quiver, something lighter like coyote/wolf for the darker one.

Thanks for the kind words, we are very proud of them.
Of course Mom thinks of a hundred things she could have done better.
I have the first, that makes it the best!
We are thinking Yote for the top fur, we should be able to do both from one hide. (We don't really have the budget for separate hides.) All though, Bobcat was her first choice.

Thanks for letting me share our excitement.

Merry Christmas Fellow Trad Gangers!    :campfire:
