I am a professional hunting guide but have also been running unguided caribou camps for outfitters for about 15 years. I am only an employee and have no vested interest whatsoever.
Several outfitters in Quebec offer that package for under $3,000.00.
They supply air transportation from their base camp to the hunting camp and the return flight with your caribou, cabins with oil heaters, propane stoves, propane lights, beds, mattresses, pots, pans, dish ware, utensils, boats, motors, a meathouse, a generator and freezer, and unlimited fuel, etc.
Some also include moving you to another site where there are caribou if there are none at your designated camp or offer a discount if you wish to come back at another time.
A company representative is there to supervise the hunt, to assure everything functions properly, and to communicate with the base, etc.. He can include (at your request) services such as guiding, quartering, skinning, caping, meat care, etc.
You must drive to the base camp and bring your own food, sleeping bag, and personal hunting items.
It might be possible to make an arrangement with an outfitter to
just drop you off somewhere on your own but I am not aware
of it being offered.
