Bitzenburger vs. Jo Jan
« on: December 28, 2008, 08:51:00 AM »
I've had a single Bitz for 25 years.  I've always liked the idea of the Multi Fletcher.  Seems like feathers done with the Jo-Jan have more helical on them.

Can anybody that has used both give me their opinion on what they like/disliked about each and which they prefer?

I have a Jo-Jan and it does a great job. You can get a nice spin with it. I think the Bitz is a bit more micro adjustable but you can't get that big spin. I still have the single Bitz for repairs.

In my 50 years of shooting I have a collection of almost everything.  Multi fletcher does put on more helical.  It is also easier to get a dozen fletched.  My bitz's are good for tape or just a few arrows-it is more precise in every way over the multifletcher.  It is one of the personal choices we get to make longbow or recurve, multi or bitz, tanto or not. Choices-- We really do have it nice!

Steve,
I have lw and rw bitz plus jojans.  I think in RW they are about the same helical but lw you can get more helical on a jojan but still like the bitz for speed and ease of use. dino

I have both Bitz and Jo-Jan. To me the Jo-jan is not even in the same ballpark as the Bitz.

You can usually find JO-Jans, single new for $25-30. I use one, love it, can do a dozen arrows in a hour or less with fletch tape.
