Granger Ranger Xtreme Hunt 2009
« on: December 31, 2008, 08:36:00 PM »
Looks like it is on for the first weekend of March.  Granger WMA TX, primitive camp ground is where we'll be hanging out for the weekend.  #1 Rule - bring nothing to eat, we catch it, kill it or find it, or we don't eat.  San Gabriel is way down, so it might be up to us hog chasers to provide the protein.  Ph.D. level hog hunting for sure.  More like wing shooting for pigs with a bow.  Stick bows welcome, but we are not in the majority.

Stan, You need a public hunting permit.

cody, we'll be West(up river) of taylor park.  The primative camp site is the base of operations.  Boat ramp #7 is were folks meet up Friday afternoon.  There is a thread on Texas Bowhunter, com samd title.
I am looking at a pre scout trip 13-16 Feb, but that is not firm yet.

I don't know what you consider often but I've been there maybe a dozen times in the last 3 years or so.
Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.
