You can just use the superglue if your goal is to seal the bow up. I use it if I have a scratch, ding, etc that is down to the wood. If you do it carefully (do not blow on the glue, it hazes) and wait for it to get good and dry you can buff it lightly with steel wool and never even know its there.
I use the paste wax once a year (after Spring turkey season) on all my bows. It just freshens them up and puts a light protective layer on it. Won't protect against banging the bow on a rock, dropping it, etc... but most of the small scuffs from walking through brush and such will be in the wax layer. Makes the water bead off the bow as well...Mike
