I guess as a custom arrow maker I look at things differently than most do. Example: Old York states "I built some "good enough" arrows". In my opinion one of the reasons a lot of trad archers only shoot so so is because they make only "good enough" arrows.
Shooting a bow is no different than shooting a gun. The results you get are more dependent on the amunition you shoot than the gun they came out of. So so arrows out of the best bow money can buy will still results in so so results. conversly good quality arrows from a average bow will results in more consistant and accurate results.
Yes I've heard the argument that I'm going to break or loose my arrows but not my bow, and that is true, but your only going to get out of this sport what your willing too invest in it also.

I shoot only wood arrows out of my longbow and they just feel right. Longbow, wood arrows, just have the right feel.
