Are these micro-flites
« on: January 10, 2009, 04:46:00 PM »

a friend sent me some arrows to re-do for him, cedars, and these were in there as well. I had some once and the tips were like these. The base color of these looks to be green. Didnt know if any other arrows were made that way??

Dave,
From the inserts and the color of the shafts in the pic, they appear to be micro-flites.  They should have a number size on them somewhere that woud help identify them for sure.  dino

There were about a dozen companies offering fiberglass shafts in the '60s.  Difficult to say what these are from the pix.  All the micro-flites that I've seen that the company sold under its brand were yellow, though I believe Micro-flite also may have made shafts for other labels.  The micro-flite name and number, indicating spine, was located close to the center of the shaft.  Might take off a little paint and see what you can find out.

Micro-flites came in two colors, Yellow as Orion said and brown. The brown shaft you can see the cloth weave pattern, quite easily. The spine numbers were the same.

I'm conviced these are Micro's after closer inspection under a good light. Not sure of the number though. They are 28".
