is my bow alright?

Was stringing up one of my bows tonight,(a recurve) with my Limbsaver stringer and somehow instead of the string staying under the limb it got strung from the side of the limb and over the top. So the bow was under full tension like that. So to say it was "side-strung" and it was pulling the already reflexed limb dramatically more. Somehow was able to unstring it myself. That was really scary for my bow as well as myself. Are these new bows made to take that? Just really paranoid about that now. Never had this happen before. Sure hope the bows fine.

Hard to tell Eric, most damaged recurves are damaged from improper stringing, I'd check it really good,.. hey getting together with some fellow trad guys at walnut creek tomorrow at noon for a little 3-d shooting, try and make it, bring the bow, don't be late,lol,lol......Steve

Looked the bow over and nothing seems wrong with it. Anything specific to look for? Going out shooting tomorrow huh Steve? I've never shot at Walnut before. I gotta head to work tomorrow unfortunately. I'm ready for the warm weather, been ready.

Just look for proper limb tip orientation, particularly while under pressure, check it often, may be fine, but may show up later.
I shot there quite often in my compound days, nice place.
