Jan. 15th - End of Illinois Season
« on: January 14, 2009, 10:29:00 PM »
Last day is tomorrow.  High temp is suppose to be
-1, so I guess I'm done for this year. Looking ahead to next Oct. 1.

Me too...between either brutal cold wind chills, temps or knee deep snow I wrote off the season around Christmas.

Was hoping to maybe get out this past weekend but the snowstorm changed those plans too.

It's fun in that weather, just not that fun!

I aint that tough either.  Plus I am stuck working so I'm done in MO. as well.  I will be ready for turkeys in the spring and I may try to hunt a hog down.

I've had a great season, but it is ending with a whimper.  My cousin has been visiting here for the past week after burying his mother, and he became my priority.

He is heading home tomorrow, and if there is an hour or two of daylight left in the season, I hope to give it a final "go," even if it is -2!!

If the wind is too much, I'll be smart, but if there is any chance... I'd love to give it one... last... try!!
