Went up on the Kittatinny Ridge yesterday, was -5F when I parked the truck, finally got to wear the heavy wool. Saw some does, wheelie guy I was with missed one at 20 yards,...
Stopped at this spring for a good warm drink. A couple years ago I found a piece of corrugated aluminum there, strange place for a shed or barn.
This view from the top shows that this ridge is at least 200 feet higher than anything to the south.
After tanking up at the spring I decided to take a different route to the top. That's when I stumbled upon this.
Memorial to the 7 men that died Sept 19, 1942.This Toby Keith song is still playing in my mind.
"There's a lot of good men dead,
So that we can go to sleep at when we lay down our head."
