I am thinking of getting a Morrison Shawnee 60 inches and 53 pounds.  However, Looking on Mr Morrisons website, there are a couple of ways to arrive at that particular length and poundage.  Am I better off with the A riser and D limb or going the B riser and C limb?  I think I would like the mass weight of the B riser but not sure.  Need feedback for both recurve and longbow limbs.  Has anyone had both?  Look forward to seasoned opinions!
Thanks,

I have two Shawnee long bows carbon foam. they are both 64" one is the B riser with E limbs 54# I shoot it the best, the other is the A riser with F limbs 56#. He dosn't make either E or F limbs anymore, I kind of like the shorter limbs, that's about all I can you for info. I don't shoot anything under 62".

I pull about 27 1/2 to 28" not real consent, they both draw real smooth, I think I get a better site window with the B riser.

I had 2 A risers and one B.I kept the B riser.I like the option of having a longer bow so I opted for the B riser. You can still get a shortbow out of it with the shorter limbs.

extremebowfishing

Yeah Eric, you would think it would perform a little better with the shorter limb.  I think I am going to like the B riser just for the added weight.  Thanks

Longer limbs shoot faster. I've found that an A riser set-up the same length as a B one draws a little smoother and is a little quicker for me. The extra site window on the B is nice for longer shots if you don't cant the bow much when you shoot.

I prefer the A-riser and D-limbs. Just felt the B setup did not shoot as well for me. But probably in my head.

I'm shooting the Araphos. I have shot the Dakotas off my riser but prefer the Araphos.

I have both combinations you ask about. With my 29 1/2" draw, I like each of them, but the A riser with the Dakota D limbs shoots better -- definitely smoother and maybe a little faster. The Mini-14 ILF riser with the C longbow limbs shoots just as well overall, if not better. I also recommend the foam/carbon limbs. They are expensive, but most people like them better in every respect, and they are fast too. There are some people who prefer the actionboo core Dakota limbs and some who prefer the Arapaho limbs. I don't and neither does Bob Morrison, but try all of them if you get the chance and see what you like best.

The foam cores are only $20.00 more. And they are definately worth it!
