I have a 45lb Falcon at 28". My draw length however is 30". Will this extra draw harm the bow?
And how do I figure out what the new draw weight at 30" is on this bow?

Thanks.

If it is a fiberglass/wood composite the extra length won't hurt it a bit.  Generally speaking a bow will gain 3#/inch of draw length past 28 inches until it won't go any further.  You would be looking at a 51# bow at 30 inches give or take a pound or two.  Joseph

No it will not harm the bow at all. You will gain approximately about 3 # per inch on the draw length.

As they said, it won't harm it at all.  How long is the bow?  Some shorter bows do tend to "stack", or get progressively harder to pull when going much beyond the draw weight they were designed for.  Stacking won't necessarily hurt the bow, but it might not be a pleasant to draw and shoot that some others.

Longer bows tend to be smoother at the end of a longer draw in my experience.  There are quite a few shorter bows that are designed to handle the longer draws and do a nice job with it, but I'm not familiar with the Falcon, so don't know about that one.

Is this a chek-mate Falcon??? If it is it should be 60" long, you should not have any finger pinch. How does it shoot so far???  Fling more arrows and report back often!!!
