New Knife

Not as pretty as some of the others posted here, but very useful. I have a few that look alot better, but none that can take a beating like this one.
It is a Chris Reeve Mountaineer II 5.5 inch blade A2 steel, with a gun kote finish. It has a hollow handle for some fire starting materials. I like knives that are pretty, but I also like knives that are useful.

Looks sturdy!
I feel the same way about knives, I love my pretty ones, but have a rubber-handled Vanguard in the fanny pack.

"rubber-handled Vanguard in the fanny pack"
No way!
X2,
pretty neat knife. A2 should be a darn good blade!
How about a picture with the cap of so we can see the threads?

Robert,
Chris makes some great knives doesn't he!? I have always loved "survival" knives and he makes the best. Are you a Micron guy? I'm in Boise also, if you ever want to go stumping, give me a ring (or PM).

Mike

I have a mountaineer I, it is the toughest knife I own, it has been through some of the worst use and abuse that a knife can go through, but it keeps on going!!!!!!!!!!!

US Calavry had some Chris Reeve knives on sale at 1/2 price a few years ago.
Should have bought a couple !
Big mistake; they're a great knife.
