where can i buy flax for backing a bow?

I read in tbb1 were it said that flax can help fix a hinge. I have a hackberry bow that is pretty light already and if i try to take the hinge out without the help of flax the bow will be to light for any type of use.

I don't know, but you may post this is the Bowyers section of the site to get more info.  Some of the selfbowyers don't spend a lot of time on the Pow Wow, but they will see this in the Bowyers section.

John, Have you used the flax for backing and how does it compare to sinew?
