My 1958 Kodiak Special arrived in the mail today. Just got in from shooting it. FUN. Shot some old Gordan Glass arrows and they flew great. Braced it at 7.5 and it was very quiet.
Anybody else out there shooting these old bow? This bow is in great shape. I do have a question: Will these bow hold up to alot of shooting?

I have a 66" 64# 1957. It's a wonderful shooter but the glass on the bottom, belly of the limb is starting to flake. Looks like the strands of fiberglass are lifting or breaking. Anyone have any experience with this?

I have a 1956, 48# 68" special and it shoots like a champ. Very forgiving and pretty quick.

I won the "Joan Leonard Memorial Bunny Hunt" 1957 Kodiak Special at the St.Judes raffle this year!!!!!
The winner gets to use it for a year.....Then brings it back to the Bunny Hunt the following year to be raffled off again.
I got alot of things planned for this year!!!!!

I also have a 1957 Kodiak Special 64" - 48# that has a tip overlay missing :(
Mike Robin (Bamboo) is going to replace both tip overlays for me and I will be shooting it again!!!!!

Mine is a 1953. 64" 50#@27". I don't recall ever seeing a bow listed at a 27" draw.
