I recently read the Ashby Reports with great interest. My thanks to Dr Ashby for collecting and publishing so much useful information.
I would appreciate real field reports of e.f.o.c.,tapered shafts,650 gr+ total wt.and single bevel broadheads in difficult shoulders, humerous bones, spines, and pelic bones on elk and moose size game.
No need to report the "blew through the lungs and hit the far mountain" on whitetails or antelope for example.
My area has lots of good Muzzy and G5 vs. elk stories and lots of bad stories about expandables vs.elk. Dr Ashby described exactly the local guy's 70# compound with lightweight and fast arrows failed performance.
There are rifle hunters who find various broadheads in the elk's shoulder with a big infected mess (1-2months later)every year.
Maybe Dr Ashby's reports should be required reading.
