Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa!

I do apologize for the "former" Marine statement. I put that in there because I'm pretty proud to have a friend of that caliber who has served his country with such distinction. Correction duly noted.

Dave-
Will do on the pictures. I currently have pieces and parts lying all over the house. One thing I have discovered is that new shafts without a point taper fit better (and are probably stronger) than retrofitted shafts with glue-ons removed.

I ended up cutting the tapers off with a fine tooth saw, then putting the footing on. What you loose in shaft length is pretty much gained back with the length of the insert inside the section of alum. shaft.

Or, if you have really long arms like I do, you gain about 3/4 of an inch in arrow length.

Keith as stated above "Former" may be the incorrect terminology for said Marine, but you should try "Ex" sometime(that is if you can outrun said Marine or any that may be within earshot).

Plumber,

I thought that was gonna be one of those: maranate and bake on a cedar shingle for 5 hours, then throw it out and eat the shingle; type of recipies.

OKKieth-
Yes please do as Dave suggested with the build along and fresh parts which will spare us the sight of all those arrows covered with guts.

Apology accepted Keith.LOL And hardwaymike is setting you up for the woo woo. It's a sin to call a Marine "former", but it's just plain suicide to call one "EX"! You can run but not faster than my judo  :scared:

Keith I think you would be better off eating that shingle. Would like to see that build along as well.

BTW- Thanks for the smile you all gave me today with this post.

SEMPER FI back at you Dave.

Sorry about that Keith. It was just a lil' army vs. marines humor that I, myself, got caught up into, lol. No offense to all of you jarheads out there, I was just kidding about the "ex" thing. Because really, although we are all seperate we are all the same.
