Have you ever seen?
« on: February 10, 2009, 04:37:00 PM »
Hey guys & gals,

I saw something in the woods this month which I have never seen in my entire life. I witness three White-tail Does walk, then trott, across a train trustle. I could not believe my eyes. None of them missed a single railroad tie with their front or back legs. I would have never believed deer would cross such an elevated and open spaced structure, if I had'nt witnessed it with my own eyes. Has anyone witnessed deer do this? I believe what I witnessed was truely rare.

Thanks for your insights

I don't doubt it; whitetails are amazing survivor creatures.  I've seen them do some wild stuff but your story has any of mine beat.  Too bad you didn't have a camera with you.  Wow!
It's not what you kill but how you hunt...

You are exactly right, Trooper! I immediately wished I had my camera. That video would have been great to place on a Trad Gang thread.

My buddy had a hunting spot near a busy interstate he showed me a spot where the deer crossed under the interstate going through a big storm water tunnel it was about 7 ft wide an 5ft high I saw the deers tracks exiting the tunnel in the snow.I could not belive that. he never saw deer actually comeing out of the tunnel he thinks they cross late at night when there is no traffic.
