Summit X Pod

Has anyone had practical experience with one of these small tripods?

Can the gun rest be removed so it can be used for run and gun type bowhunting in terrain where tree stands won't work?

The gun rest is held on with one bolt--my biggest concern was getting up and down safely.the top sitting position is on a 360degree swivel and there is not a proper fixed position for your feet when you are trying to turn around and sit down. however--a brace can be made to fit between the 3 legs to give a more stable platform for feet when climbing up and down.--Macgiver something.Bottom of legs are hollow--so on soft ground you sink.Hope this helps. It does work with modifications.

Sorry Ray--I was thinking of the Predator pod. The 6 ft. high model.
