He has a try before you buy program.  I tried one out a year or two ago.  I didn't care for the slanted grip and it wasn't very smooth.  However, it is one of the quietest recurves that I have shot to date.  I did not purchase the bow.  My opinion is to try ANY bow before you buy one, preferably the exact bow that your going to buy.

I hve two of his recurves and a longbow on order. Not as pretty as some, but I haven't found anything yet that I shoot as good. DB

I have one on order.  Went to his school a few weeks ago and shot one of his bows a good bit while I was there.  They are nice bows.  I found them to be very stable and smooth with no hand shock.  We were shooting very light arrows out of the bow and it was pretty quiet. They are pretty fast as well.

Not very smooth?  They only draw 2 lbs. per inch.  Can't get much smoother than that.  I LOVE them.  I'm looking for another one if anyone hears of one for sale.

Here's mine 58lb @28" 58" bow. They are great bows imho, not quite as refined as say a Schafer or Morrison but the performance is right with the best bows out there I believe. I think they are the perfect hunting bow. Good weight for stability, they point well, and will get an arrow gone quicker than you can skin a monkey. I had a Dye and some Morrisons hanging on the wall this year while this Dakota went to the woods with me every time.

I guarantee the bow that I shot did not pull 2 lbs. per inch.  You got that off of the website.  To each his own, he ask for opinions and I gave him mine.
