Limb Savers???
«

Yay or Nay?
I have just a tiny bit of "bong" left in the limbs. I have string silencers and my brace height is at the sweet spot. My bow is pretty darn quiet, but that's not good enough....LOL!
Any other ideas?

I agree with stick hunter. they made a big difference on my old kmag. 2 accessory ones on my bow quiver too. think he means where the limbs start to curve.

Oh, like where it starts to "fade out" out of the riser?

Look closely at the side of the bow so you can see the lines of the laminations that make up the limbs. The fade out is where the narrowly tapered riser section tips fade out into the limb laminations.
It will be the same on a 3 piece except it will be the wedge insted of the riser that fades into the limb laminations.

I dont shoot without them, I probably dont need them on most of my bows. But they do make a difference and might just make your bow last longer.

I have them on my Badger. They make a huge difference in the "bong" noise you are talking about. If you have the string noise taken care of, the limbsavers will finish the job on the limb noise.
I don't think they would do much good on a longbow, but the wider limbs of a recurve really seem to benefit from them. I had them on the Kota Killum I had too. It was longbow quiet! I don't think I'd go without them on a recurve.

clean the bow with a little denatured alcohol or acetone where you are going to put them removes and hand oil etc. Let area dry. Helps with the selfsticky stuff bond to glass.

Love em on my recurves.
If you are hunting at temps colder than 20 degrees (extremely common up here in ND), the adhesive tape they come with tends to fail & they fall off. I fix this by peeling that tape of & sticking them on with barge cement. The flexible barge cement holds them in place through a wide range of temps...
