If the bow is FF compatable I like to use D97,but I use dacron only on older recurves. What kind of bow are you asking for? Most all of longbows can usally handle FF type strings, but I would ask the bowyer about a recurve for FF compatablity.I like D97 and find it quieter then the old FF strings. It is strong and low creep. My longbows just feel more solid with it.

I really like D97.
It is fast and quiet and doesn't stretch much.

Chub your bow can handle either type,so it can come down to personal preferrence as to which one you like on your bow.I like D97,it's makes a great string, long lasting, fast, quiet and more abrasive resistent then dacron. But some bows even though FF compatable may like dacron better.I had a Dale Dye that was a dacron bow and it felt great with dacron, some bows with dacron can feel springy. On some longbow dacron can give you increased handshock.
