Concerning making strings
« on: February 14, 2009, 10:24:00 PM »
I've had to make a decision on whether to keep offering strings or not.  I enjoy making them, but, it's gotten too overwhelming between a full time job and family time with my wife and kids.  I can't devote the time needed to keep it up, staying up late every night trying to do strings and then get back up for my real job, is taking a more of a toll than I anticipated.  I apologize for any inconvienance this may have caused, I'd like to thank everyone who has allowed me to make strings for them, and I may be able to go back to doing them in the future, but for now I can't keep up the pace with everything.

For those who have ordered strings, I will get those out within the next 2 weeks, if possible.  Anyone having any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me by PM or email at [email protected] and I will address all of your questions.

Thank you all once again, I really appreciate all you fine folks, and I hope to be able to devote time again to making strings on here, but for now I just can't.

Thanks,
Bobby

That's a tough call Bobby, but you will never go wrong putting your family first.  Good luck, brother, and I for one hope that you can get back to it someday!  Thanks for all your good work!

Sorry to hear that Bobby, I really like the ones you made for me. I understand that family and your real job come first though. Goodluck

I can understand how it must get overwhelming.  A guy makes a lousy string and nobody will buy it; a guy makes a nice string and everybody wants one.  Becomes just another job.

I'll have to try making my own again.  Got the loops down, backtwist, serving, but keeping equal tension is driving me   :wavey:

My thanks are to all of you, I appreciate your words and support.

If/when things get settled down some with work and around here, I'll do my best to try and get back to making them, but for now, I just can't manage it all.

Thanks once again,
Bobby

I understand, Bobby. Though I do hate to hear it. I really like the string you made for my Predator. Best wishes to you and yours and I hope to see you get back into it someday when things slow down a little in your life.

I was very impressed with your service, you went to great lengths to make sure I was getting exactly the string I wanted, and I did.  Hope things slow down for you, and you can get back to it some day.
