Archery ranges near Palm Springs?
« on: February 16, 2009, 11:23:00 PM »
I'll be on a family vacation in Palm Springs next month. The sunshine, pool and golfing will be nice, but I would like to shoot my bow some too. Does anyone know if there is an archery range (or 2) in the Palm Springs area?

Thanks!
Chuck

Chuck,

I live about 35 miles west of Palm Springs, I'll be glad to show you around a bit.  Cherry Valley Bowhunters is 30 miles to your west.  They have a nice 3-d range.  Then of course my home has a range you're welcome to shoot at.

The Cleveland National forest is behind PS to the south, make sure to take the family on a trip up the PS Tram, (Gondola ride up the mountain).  A nice day spent overlooking the Coachella Valley.  Not much game, a few Desert Sheep.  Anza Borrego Park will be in bloom that time of year, out past the Salton Sea.  Should take the family there.

PM me for address and phone if you're interested.

Chuck, Desert dude(aka Mark ) lives out there and he knows his way around, as for that Mike guy.... well. I can vouch for him also, you'll be hard pressed to fine better, both guys are welcome in my camp.

I'm to far north to help you out, there might be a 3-D shoot then, bring your stuff.
