Hello all
« on: February 16, 2009, 10:02:00 PM »
First day on the site as a registered member, many of you may know me as the owner of the now closed Renaissance Archery in New Jersey. Many friends amongst you and wanted to say hello up front.

Also I am trying to find info on one of my old suppliers, Kerry Gesink (Cedarsmith Arrows) if anyone knows where to contact him I would appreciate it. The numbers I had for him are now disconnected.

Hey Gate Keeper and doeboy, thanks

doeboy I ran a Traditional only shoppe in Whitehouse Station NJ, Renaissance Archery
Carried 14 custom Bowyers works and all the supplies. Custom arrows from 4 different makers and
There has to be hundreds of fellows on this site who learned to shoot Longbows and Recurves there and took one of the dozens of seminars I put on with various craftsmen.
I ran it evenings and weekends for 9 years until the demands of my regular job and four kids got to be too much
Gesink and Witzel along with kelly peterson were my major arrow suppliers and always had hundreds of dozens in stock.
Would like to get ahold of Cedarsmith now and get some shafts for myself and Witzel just to see how the heck he is doing.
You also probably saw some of my exclusive custom bows from some makers with the Renaissance Archery name on them like Chuck Jones and Rick Ingraham (Woodland Archery) around. I was one of the members of the Pennsylvania Longbowmen and Society of Traditional Bowmen who initially was involved in getting Mike Knifly to host the Traditional Shoot you guys know as Denton Hill, set up there for years and got many of my friends in the buisness to come and do the same.
Did a lot of mail order too, so I am hoping to hear from many of you guys.
