Trad gang club in Ft. Worth, Tx
« on: February 17, 2009, 04:56:00 PM »
My brother-in-law told me about a trad gang club on the west side of Ft. Worth.  It is off of 180 near I-30.  It supposedly has a range and some 3D targets.  Does anyone know what I am talking about or how to contact them.  It seems like their name is lonestar or longhorn or something similar.

I think you are talking about the Cowtown Bowhunters. They are a mixed club but will have a trad shoot Feb. 28- Mar 1.
Denton county archers is a trad club and we have a shoot this Sat and Sun.

Yes, if you are talking about trad only you are probably referring to the Texas State Longbow Association.  You can contact David Sikes, I do not know his number.  the association host the Texas State Longbow championship on memorial day weekend.

Yep we are members at Sherwood.  We have a nice flat range and 15 3D target practice range.  We also host the Longbow State Championships.

David Sykes can be reached during the day at 817-332-1219 for membership apps.

It is Sherwood Forest.  He got the info from Wingnut.

Mike, I saw your truck driving down Oakridge last week.  I like the advertising of your bows in the back window.  Looks sharp.

Thanks

Your right 580.  I always call it 180 and my wife knows what I am talking about.
