I heard that the Vision is now discontinued. Anyone know why? It's very similar to the Savannah except the grip is different - more like the Shrew with the locator. Most people thought is shot well, however.
Was interested in one so I'd like opinions.

The Vision is a 66" bow, the Savannah shorter.
I´ve got a Visaion and I like it.

I think they make the Venom now instead of the Vision. It´s got some Carbon under the glass.

Martin will make you a Venom with a Vision grip (or even a Savannah grip) if that's what you want.

The Vision and Savannah are both great bows but are different. The Savannah is shaped, both in grip and profile, more like a standard longbow. Low locator grip. Strung profile that has a fairly continuous curve, not quite D-shaped but not like the Vision.

The Vision is considered to be more of a hybrid in design. It has a long riser, more contoured grip, and a more aggressive D/R profile. Strung it shows its reflex in the tips. It is 4" longer than the Savannah, as well.

Personally, I like the Savannah but I love my Vision. It is smooth, has excellent speed, and it is easy to shoot. I've shot a bunch of longbows and hybrids and my Vision has the best mixture of qualities I want in a bow.

I like my Vision so much I have two of them. I bought a 60# first because it shot so well. Then I found a 50# which is much more comfortable to shoot.
They're great!

I had a Vision- IMO, it's an Excellent Bow. Great shooter, & built to last. I had to mess around w/ mine to get it quieted down. Finally, realized that it was tillered for 3 fingers under.

I would guess that a bow tillered for 3 under from Martin was either specifically made that way.

Most bowyers will make a bow tillered for 3 under at even to +1/8" tiller. Split is +1/8-3/8". Mine came at +3/8".

It really doesn't make a lot of difference which way it is tillered. It will effect nock point height more than anything. It might be higher or lower than usual if shooting split with 3 under tiller or vice versa.

I was shooting a Vision for a year and the bow was a little louder when I was shooting 3 under.
With split fingers it was silent.
So I guess the standard Vision was tillered for split fingers. In germany you can still order a couple of that bow.
kind regards

I owned a Vision a couple years ago.  It was a SWEET shooter all around, especially if you like the 66" length.
