A special thanks to Holm-Made Bows
« on: February 21, 2009, 10:40:00 PM »
I would like to extend a special thanks to Chad Holm on behalf of Sandhills Archery Club, West Fargo, ND.  Chad was gracious enough to donate a bow to be raffled off at our annual banquet  Friday night.  Chad also attended our banquet and set up a table to display his excellent craftmanship.  Our club, like most, has a large percentage of compound shooters, that being said everyone there showed a real interest in Chad's bows, and everyone bought raffle tickets for the chance to win a Holm-Made bow.  Thank you Chad for your donation and being such a great representative of the traditional archery community.

Thank you.  I enjoyed the banquet.  Donating a bow to your ND club is the least I can do as I'm always sneaking over the border to hunt your whitetails.  In the off season when I often reflect back on the previous season my mind invarably goes to a few secret spots I have tucked away in a river bottem somewhere along many of your state's rivers.  Now if I could just get my wife to move there.    :banghead:

Thanks Chad for your help and generosity. It was nice seeing the compound shooters drooling over the bows and buying tickets. It is your love of the sport and craftsmanship that help carry on and support the tradition.
Another tradgang member deserves special thanks, Sparrow, (self proclaimed pro-staffer for Holm-Made Bows) for the presentation and slide show on the DIY Caribou hunts he has accomplished in Alaska. Your passion for archery and hunting is obvious. Putting things in perspective, Sparrow showed every one that if they truly have a desire to go to Alaska and hunt, that goal is very attainable to the ave***e Joe.

Thanks guys.

Thanks Chad for the donated bow.  All the bows you brought were beautiful and very well made.  I honestly believe they are the best bows for the dollar out there.  I tried looking for flaws and couldn't find one.  Thanks again Chad.

I agree with Tony, Sparrow's talk at the banquet was awesome.  The time flew by and I felt like I was there in Alaska with him.

I also think Chad's bows are the best deal for the money of any on the market. Actually, it is hard to find a significantly better bow at any price. Besides that, Chad is such a good guy you just want to own at least one of his bows. I have many bows that I think are great, but there is only one of them that competes with my other top-quality bows while selling at a lower price point, and that is a Holm-Made Osprey with a Bow Bolt. I have a number of Brackenburys, Shrews, Morrisons, Blacktails, ACS CXs and other bows that almost anyone would agree are as good as any trad bows made, so my comments on the Holm-Made bows are not empty praise. Chad deserves a lot of credit for giving those with more limited means the chance to buy a high end custom bow at a production bow price or even a bit less. It should also be stated that Chad's bows are exceptionally fast.
