I have never been able to use the mouth calls very well for turkeys. I tried trimming them and everything but I never could get them to work consistently.  I bought the A frame Mini from Primos and as soon as I put it in I could call very well it was unbelievably easy to use. Just thought I would throw this out for the diaphram call challenged.

check out tim sanford and his superior line of calls.  he has almost all available.  he has some of the best running mouth calls i have ever seen/heard.  i have had a lot of success with his calls and had the pleasure to use a lot of his calls and they are superior to others.
