Hi everyone. Just getting started with traditional thanks to Boone the hunter selling me his sweet looking whisperstik bow, thanks Dan! The bow is at 38 lbs (recurve) and my draw is 29" with a compound bow but may turn out to be around 30" shooting traditional.
I'm ordering the Beman MFX Classic arrows from 3R archery and want to see if I ordered the right shaft. I ordered the 500 spine but am wondering if I should call them tomorrow morning and have them change it to the 400 spine arrow.
I shoot razorcaps for broadheads so I can go from 100 to 200 grains on that in 25 grain increments.
I did order some of the weight tubes that go inside the arrow, 5 and 8 grains per inch so this will allow me to get my arrow weight up without affecting my spine.
I was considering going with the standard aluminum inserts and then just using the different weighted razorcap heads to fine tune the spine of the arrow. Or, I could go with the brass inserts, leave the weight tubes out and then use my razorcaps to fine tune the arrow spine.
So, I'm hoping to get some input on this and maybe from someone shooting this particular arrow. Thanks!
