Spine Chart?
« on: March 06, 2009, 12:46:00 AM »
Is there a good spine chart for Recurves and longbows. I have been told that the spine charts on the arrow manufactures websites are not geared towards trad bows.

I just picked up a Bear 48mag and am looking for an arrow 600-700 grains with over 200grains up front. I draw 28" and shoot a 29" arrow. Right now I am shooting 29" 2016's and they seem pretty close to correct with 125grains up front, but want more FOC and more overall weight.

I am shooting Beeman MFX's with my other bows and am thinking a 340 with a 100grain insert with a 150+ head should get me close
The 400 with a 100 grain insert and 145grain head works perfect on my shrew at 49#'s

Try this one. Lots of good tips on this site too.
