My 1st time in Wyoming I went to Colony Outfitters on the S.Dakota border. The nicest people I have ever met and the hunting is unbelievably good.Took me a 1/2 hour to kill a 140" whitetail that I just couldnt pass but there were some beautiful mulies there too.The week I was there another guy killed a 167" mulie and his son killed a 150".Jim and Roxy Dacar are the owners.I am saving to get back there soon myself to take a bigger mulie than what I have and will be toting a longbow.Check their website.

Call this guy in Cheyenne. I have worked for him off and on over the years. He is a bowhunter himself and will get you on. I think he still has area south of Rawlins and there are some very nice deer.

I am interested in the most successful way of taking a Mule deer. I am not opposed to hunting any way that gives me the best chance. I have been with arrow five outfitters with my columbian and coues but there outfit is in Mexico Theres are some serious drug wars going on down there as I write this. It is pricey and for a management animal. However I would still go with them because they are great people and have had great times with them as well! I do value my hide though!!!!!

Mike Murphy with TBarM Outfitters in Durango, CO (970)259-5469. They have some fine mule deer where he hunts around timberline. And very low pressure. He and his son are trad guys themselves. I have elk hunted with them the last two years. Highly recommended.

Take a look at boulderlake.com. I'll be guiding there this Fall. It's in Wyo. near Pinedale. Let me know if you have questions.

Check out Full Draw Outfitters, Fred Eichler. He's got a pretty good looking deal for a NM muley hunt.
